Outreach Domain Verification Failed

Work through DNS mismatches, propagation delays, and provider-side formatting mistakes when outreach verification stalls.

Most failures come from formatting

Verification failures are usually caused by incorrect hostnames, missing records, or DNS providers that silently rewrite what you paste. The fastest fix is to compare each live record against the exact value shown in HeyPond.

Re-check the records one by one

Match the record type, host, and value exactly. If your DNS provider auto-appends the root domain, enter only the short host shown. If you already had older SPF, DKIM, or CNAME records in place, remove conflicts before retrying verification.

  • Confirm there are no duplicate records for the same host
  • Wait for propagation before retrying repeatedly

After it verifies

Send yourself a live outreach email and confirm the From address, DKIM alignment, and reply path look correct. Verification succeeding is necessary, but a quick real send proves the domain is ready for production use.
