Set Up a Custom Portal Domain

Point a branded domain or subdomain to the portal so the client experience looks polished and trustworthy.

Pick the right address

Most teams use a subdomain like `portal.yourdomain.com` instead of the root domain. That keeps DNS changes isolated and avoids affecting your main website or marketing pages.

Add the DNS records exactly as shown

Open Domains settings, copy the target records, and add them in your DNS provider. Small typos, pasted quotes, or leaving an old conflicting record in place are the most common reasons verification stalls.

  • Prefer copy-paste over manual typing
  • Remove duplicate CNAME records for the same host

Wait, verify, then test the portal

DNS can take a little time to propagate. Once verification succeeds, open the custom portal URL in an incognito window and check login, magic-link redirects, and at least one branded page before sharing it broadly.
